Dungeons and Dragons was a big no-no for all Witness kids when I was a bairn. Looking back on it, the funniest one I wasn't allowed to watch was Count Duckula, as it was about "the supernatural" and because it had a pentagram shown in the opening sequence. Hehe.

I'd got for the ASP.Net if it's with regards to C#, though if it's an option and you get the chance I'd recommend to choose something PHP-based, as this is very popular at the moment.

My dad was somewhat of a hard man in his youth, and this still shows through now, even though he has been in the org for about 20 years now.
However, as he "doesn't believe in violence now" (his words) he never showed me how to defend myself when I was growing up. Because of it, and being different through being in the org until my late teens, I had to put up with a lot of crap off a lot of people.
It's taken me a while to get my confidence up, and I even stepped in on a fight last year, something I would once never have done. I got a broken nose for it, but that didn't even bother me, I had held onto my self respect. Now though, I'm taking karate lessons. Hehe. -

Interestingly, in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, when you die you experience whatever afterlife you have believed in when you were living.
So, warriors do go to Valhalla, the faithful do spend an eternity in paradise... and most interestingly of all: those who believe they are going to hell really do go there, whether they deserve to or not (many good people believed they were going to hell through their religious beliefs, even though they lived good lives). -

singing at the meetings

that always used to make me laugh when somone who couldn't sing just belted it out in their horrible voice.
or i used to love the husband and wife duos that thought they were all that as they sat and tried to harmonize.

I love singing, so it was the only part of the meeting I actually liked at all. The songs themselves weren't particularly good, and many parts are blatantly nicked from classical melodies, though I didn't mind as I got to exercise my vocal chords. My favorite one I remember was # 168, but I forget the title now. I remember I liked the simple yet effective piano melody. Now, of course, I wouldn't let the words pass my lips any more than I would poison.

And I must say I strongly agree with this. At first, I used to think that this organisation would potter along forever with it's determined few but now I see hope that time itself will put an end to this monstrosity of a lie.
There are a number of reason I feel this way, amongst them are:
The propagation of the freely available honest information through media such as the internet (for example this board, and items such as the UN website and what that brought).
The inevitable death of the older generation - the stalwarts of the organisation - who as I have seen through personal experience, are on the whole more unwilling to accept logic and reasoning and with that, change (sorry, I don't mean to stereotype here, but just going off what I have seen myself).
The overwhelming scientfic evidence that has been discovered - and will continue to be discovered - disproving many aspects of their belief system.
The increasing outdatedness of many of their primary attitudes, such as spousal obedience.
These things give me hope that maybe by another 3 generations or so from now the WTS organisation will cease to exist or become so marginalised it is an irrelevance to all but a handful of people.
Any thoughts from any of you on this board would be welcome. -

Celtic, I must point out us Geordies class ourselves as a seperate independent republic up here too! Many Scottish class us as Scots born on the wrong side of the border, and our language is all our own, closer to Scottish than Oxford English.
Come to think of it, take away all the seperate dialect and class groups, and you'd be left with.... London (and maybe Essex, if someone wants to claim it).
